Michael is a Technical Writer who was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome in 1998. He has experienced so much ignorance about Tourette syndrome that he contacted fellow Touretters to help with a project to educate the public about this disorder.
His first book, Getting Personal, Stories of Life with Tourette Syndrome, contains twenty-two personal stories written by people living with Tourette syndrome, including his own personal account.
Speaking Engagements
Michael is available to speak about Tourette syndrome at medical, nursing, and teacher conferences. He is also available for in-services at public and private schools and lectures for non-profit organizations, including Tourette syndrome support group meetings.
