Specialist Justin C. Cliburn spent a year in Iraq as a member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard patrolling supply routes and training Iraqi police, during which time he became disillusioned with the mission and grew to passionately oppose the war. Upon his return to the United States, he joined Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) to publicly share his experiences and is now its South Central Region Coordinator. Cliburn lives in his hometown of Lawton, Oklahoma, and is a journalism and political science major at Cameron University. This is his first book.
